It seems like there is something being said or written about the great opportunities associated with outsourcing everywhere you look.  In most cases those sharing their thoughts and experience focus on locating and using outsource support as a means of getting your work done by others.  In some cases it comes from someone who has done a little work using outsource resources, and they are sharing their experiences.  In still other cases it comes from someone who claims to have achieved levels of success beyond most of our imagination.  Often, there is an offer to help those new to the idea of using outsourced support.  But there is another way to learn the ins and outs of the outsource world and to make a little money at the same time.  That is to start as an outsource resource yourself, and learn the business by doing.

Start by offer your skills and experience to others.  There is high demand for many different skills and competencies in today’s marketplace.  Take inventory of your talents and offer them to others.  Not only do you gain experience, but you’ll be able to earn while gaining knowledge about what it’s like to be an outsource supplier.

Ask questions of those using you and other outsource resources.  Be sure to continually ask questions about how others locate, use and coordinate with outsource support.  Find out about any systems they may use.  Find out details about changes that would make the experience even better for them.

Build your outsource support business.  As your outsourcing gains a following, you will be offered more and more work.  You will be faced with options on how to best handle the requests.  You can maintain current levels of support by yourself, or you could also begin outsourcing the work you cannot perform yourself to others.

As your business continues to grow, you will become an expert yourself.  Over time you will have seen the outsource world from both sides of the fence.  You will be a true expert who has been an outsource resource yourself and who has also used outsource resources to support your business.

Don’t underestimate the power of actually become an outsource resource to others.  Fortunately there are many skills and competencies in-demand right now.  As you learn the outsource world you are also earning money.  Keep marketing and growing your business.  Over time many find they have more work than they can handle.  Some choose to turn away from the extra business.  Others realize they can outsource their excess work to others for even more income.  What’s your in-demand skill?
